History

United Heating & Cooling, Inc. was founded in 1990 by brothers Joe and Jerry Lambert, and best friend, Mark McWilliams. Before starting United, all three had spent several years in the heating and cooling business absorbing all they could about designing, installing and repairing heating and cooling installations. When they started United, they did so with one fundamental premise that still holds true today: Do what you say you’re going to do. We never waver on our commitments.

Since then, United has grown to be the largest heating and cooling company in four states. We design and install heating and cooling systems in more new homes than any other company, plus design and build all of our own ductwork. To help serve our customers even better, United introduced complete residential and commercial plumbing services in 2001.

United also has a growing commercial department capable of handling most any heating, cooling or plumbing problem businesses may require – whether new construction “design-build,” equipment repair/replacement or service.

Headquartered in a 113,000 square-foot facility in Grandview, United is family-owned and operated, currently employing more than 140 dedicated and quality-minded people who work hard everyday to assure customer satisfaction.

United is a member in good standing of the Kansas City Better Business Bureau, Kansas City Homebuilders Association (KCHBA), National Association of Remodelers Institute (Kansas City NARI), North American Technician Excellence (NATE) and the Heart of America Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC).  In addition LEED, AP certified along with Green Professional certification.
