Santa Marta will be an independent and assisted living apartment
and villa complex in Olathe, KS. The complex will also include skilled nursing units,
kitchen ventilation and plumbing systems throughout the complex; including design and construction
of the ductwork. United is working closely with the contractor, owner and architect to assure
complete integration of system installation and to keep the project on schedule.
United installed the HVAC on each individual town home at 46 Washington. The project included
eighteen town homes in the Kansas City Plaza area, each for sale to own. United installed twenty-eight split
systems (some of which have two systems), garage heaters, dryer vents and bath fan vents.
The Armour Blvd. Redevelopment Project consists of the total renovation (interior and exterior)
of five significant apartment buildings in the Midtown area of Kansas City including
Bainbridge 900, Bainbridge 914, Bainbridge 3424, Georgian and Linda Vista. United's responsibility
on this important project is for the entire mechanical design and heating and cooling
installation. Key to the successful completion of this job is to maintain strict integrity
of each building's foundation and framing.
United installed both the plumbing and HVAC at Summit Woods in Lee's Summit, MO. The HVAC portion was an extensive
project that included more than twenty-seven split systems. It was recorded that
United ran more than two miles of refrigerant copper throughout the building.
Bunker Hill is a three story office building located in the Plaza area of Kansas City. United
was chosen to design and install new heating and cooling equipment for this major renovation;
including a 60 ton medium pressure rooftop unit, individual terminal fan-powered boxes and
variable air volume boxes with heat to zone particular areas. Bunker Hill is now home to
three company offices, one on each floor.
An old "K-Mart" store in Grandview, MO, became the site of the second Red X store in the
Kansas City area. United was selected to replace the existing HVAC equipment and add
additional systems for the expansion of the office area, new snack-bar area and entryway.
A kitchen area that required a kitchen hood, exhaust and make-up-air was also added in the building.
