Heating Solutions -- Furnaces

Standard, Deluxe, and Premium Furnaces
Standard 80% efficient furnaces are sufficient to heat your home and are the least expensive option when selecting a furnace. While this choice does save you money up front, over time you may pay more for your heating bills than you initially saved on the furnace. Plus there are some great comfort options that come with a Deluxe or Premium quality furnace.

United is happy to provide quality Standard furnaces. However, we believe the benefits of a Deluxe or Premium furnace are worth considering before making your final choice.

United offers three grades of furnaces:

Standard Furnaces

Deluxe Furnaces

Premium Furnaces

Gas vs. Electric
In the Kansas City area, 95% of all homes have natural gas furnaces. Natural gas is typically less expensive than electricity when heating your home. Electric heating, however, does make sense in areas where natural gas is not available or if you are considering a dual fuel heat pump system. In fact, most electric utilities offer a reduced electric rate when you heat your home with a heat pump, and some even offer rebates (check with your local electric company).

Heat Pumps
A heat pump is an incredibly efficient option for heating and cooling your home. The monthly savings on your energy bill, plus the discount that you can get from your utility company may make the heat pump a great choice for your home. Don’t know what a heat pump is, or how it operates? Learn more
