Two-Stage Heating Operation

A standard single-stage furnace has one temperature level that it uses to heat your home. This creates a “jackrabbit” effect as your furnace stops and starts more often, resulting in greater extremes of heat and cold. Two-stage furnaces begin heating at a lower temperature, increasing the temperature only as needed to heat your home. The benefits to you are:

Variable Speed Fan Motor

This often works hand in hand with two-stage heating. A variable speed fan motor operates at a slower and more efficient speed the majority of the time, increasing speed only when absolutely necessary to heat the home. The benefits to you are:

Insulated Blower Compartment

This is a great noise reduction feature that nearly eliminates the normal fan noise of your furnace.

Variable Speed Draft Inducer Motor

The draft inducer motor ventilates air out of your system and creates the needed draft coming into your system. A variable speed draft inducer motor works hand in hand with the variable speed blower to better control circulation in your home. It is also much more efficient than a single-stage draft inducer motor. The benefits to you are:

80% Efficiency

Though this efficiency rating is the same as a standard grade furnace, the variable speed fan motors and two-stage heating operation distribute this heat more evenly and more efficiently making you more comfortable and saving you more money.

United offers standard efficiency furnaces with up to a 25-year limited warranty on the heat exchanger, and a 5-year warranty on parts. United also offers extended warranties that cover both parts and labor!
