Single-Stage Heating Operation

A single-stage new furnace operates at only one temperature as it heats your home. While this is certainly adequate, it does result in greater extremes of heat and cold than a new furnace with two-stage heating operation.

80% efficiency

This means that for every unit of air taken into the new furnace, 80% is returned into your home as heat. Is 80% acceptable in a new furnace? Certainly: Especially when compared to older furnaces that operate at 60% or 70%. Keep in mind, however, that premium furnaces do operate at 92% efficiency, which can make a significant difference in your monthly bill. See the difference.

Warranty

United offers standard efficiency new furnaces with up to a 10-year limited warranty on the heat exchanger and a 5-year warranty on parts. United also offers extended warranties on your new furnace for greater peace of mind.

Is a standard efficiency furnace for you? If you need the least expensive upfront cost and are satisfied with the basics, a standard efficiency new furnace is the right choice.
